**About EliotNest:**

EliotNest is a seed-stage, private crime fighting agency based in NYC (office near Penn Station). We are founded by experts in prosecution, technology, and startups: Steve Ferketic (fmr Head of Criminal prosecutions for the State of New Jersey, Chief of Staff of DEA, and AUSA), Fahim Ferdous (fmr CTO of Cabal, fmr CTO of AdQuick, fmr sr engineer at Instacart), and Auren Hoffman (fmr CEO of SafeGraph, fmr CEO of LiveRamp).

Our mission is to combat fraud against the government using cutting-edge AI/ML technology to find and prosecute criminals. We serve whistleblower firms and federal, state, and local agencies. We have raised a seed round and are building our foundational team.

**The Role: Founding Engineer (#1-5)**

As one of our first engineers, you will play a critical role in shaping our technology, product, and culture. You'll work directly with the founders to build our core platform from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to have a massive impact on a mission-driven company tackling significant societal problems.

**Responsibilities:**

*   Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain core software systems.
*   Implement and iterate on AI/ML models for fraud detection and analysis.
*   Collaborate closely with founders and future team members across engineering, product, and operations.
*   Contribute to architectural decisions and technology choices.
*   Help establish engineering best practices and culture.

**Technical Skills & Qualifications:**

*   Demonstrated excellence in software engineering. You build robust, scalable systems and likely code for fun.
*   Experience with AI/ML concepts and practical application is a plus.
*   Proficiency with modern software development tools and practices, including AI-enabled IDEs.
*   Ability to work across the stack as needed in an early-stage environment.
