Ephemera builds XMTP, the largest & most secure decentralized messaging network, providing enterprise-grade secure messaging powered by decentralization.

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer focused on React Native to join our team. This role is for a killer mobile app developer with a deep understanding of React Native who has experience building consumer-facing applications. You will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing mobile experiences leveraging the XMTP protocol.

Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable React Native code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.

Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience building consumer mobile applications with React Native.
- Deep understanding of the React Native framework, ecosystem, and mobile development principles (iOS and Android).
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Cryptographically-minded and privacy-conscious.
- Passionate about building excellent user experiences.
- Experience with web3 technologies is a plus.
