Role: As a Staff Platform Engineer at ESG Book, you will be a technical leader shaping the future of our infrastructure. You'll architect, design, and implement highly scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native platforms that underpin our cutting-edge sustainability data services. You will drive technical strategy, mentor engineers, and set the standard for operational excellence across the organization.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of core infrastructure components and platform services.
- Define and champion best practices for cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, security, and observability across the engineering organization.
- Drive major initiatives related to platform scalability, reliability, cost optimization, and security posture.
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies and patterns to enhance the platform capabilities.
- Automate complex infrastructure workflows and operational tasks.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to senior and junior platform engineers.
- Collaborate closely with software architects and engineering leads on system design and integration.
- Act as a key stakeholder in incident management and post-mortem analysis for critical infrastructure issues.

Ideal Candidate: A highly experienced and influential platform/infrastructure engineer with a strong background in architecting and operating large-scale, distributed systems in the cloud. You possess deep expertise in Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, monitoring, and security. You are a strategic thinker, capable of translating business needs into robust technical solutions. You have a proven ability to lead complex projects, mentor effectively, and drive technical innovation within a fast-paced, collaborative, and purpose-driven environment.
