Role: We are seeking a Backend Engineer to join our team in San Francisco.

Responsibilities: You will design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure, APIs, and backend systems that power Exa's AI search engine. This includes working on complex distributed systems, optimizing for performance and scalability, and ensuring the reliability of our services. You'll collaborate with ML engineers to integrate new models and algorithms.

Requirements: Strong experience in backend development using languages like Python, Go, Java, or similar. Experience with database technologies (SQL/NoSQL), distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP). Familiarity with building and scaling APIs.
