Role Overview:

We’re looking for a Design Engineer who can also code frontend (or is learning to) to help us enhance the developer experience of our dashboard. This role combines strong design sensibilities with frontend development skills to create intuitive interfaces for deploying and managing FastAPI apps. While technical proficiency is important, we prioritize candidates with exceptional design skills who can bridge the gap between aesthetics and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement user interfaces for our dashboard, focusing on simplicity and ease of use
• Collaborate with product managers to translate requirements into effective visual designs
• Develop responsive web components using modern frontend technologies
• Create interactive elements that enhance the developer experience
• Conduct user testing and gather feedback to refine the dashboard
• Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and frontend technologies
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to the technical direction of our frontend

Qualifications:

• Strong design skills with a portfolio showcasing UI/UX projects
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with frontend frameworks like React, Vue, or similar
• Understanding of responsive design principles
• Ability to balance aesthetic requirements with technical constraints
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Compensation:

The estimated pay range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000, depending on experience. This role is eligible for our equity plan.
