Senior Software Engineer

**About Flourish Health:** Flourish Health is a mission-driven mental health technology company dedicated to providing in-home behavioral health treatment for teens and families with high-acuity mental health conditions. We specialize in serving underserved populations including those on Medicaid, in foster care, and with commercial insurance. Our platform supports clinical care delivery through technology, helping families access the support they need when they need it most. **About The Role:** We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our small but impactful engineering team. This is a full-stack role that will have a significant impact on our product and infrastructure. You will work closely with our head of product and the founder/CTO to design and implement features that improve the lives of our patients and the efficiency of our clinical operations. The ideal candidate will be a thoughtful engineer who is passionate about building ethical and effective technology that supports mental health.

**Responsibilities:**
- Shaping the system architecture to support our growing user base and data needs
- Working full-stack to ship features quickly and reliably
- Improving the developer experience through better tooling and infrastructure
- Driving the product vision in collaboration with our product team
- Integrating AI features into our applications to enhance patient support while maintaining ethical standards
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team growth
- Balancing technical innovation with clinical requirements

**Tech Stack:**
- Frontend: React Native (and React Native Web for development and testing)
- Backend: TypeScript and Node.js for building scalable services
- Database: MongoDB for flexible data storage and retrieval
- Cloud: Google Cloud Platform for hosting and infrastructure
- Tools: Git, Docker, Kubernetes for deployment

**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer with a track record of building scalable web and mobile applications
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, React Native, and MongoDB
- Strong architectural thinking and ability to make system-level tradeoffs
- Experience with cloud platforms and deployment pipelines
- Passion for using technology to improve mental health outcomes
- 5+ years of coding experience with concurrent and distributed systems
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
