Senior Design Engineer

As a Senior Design Engineer, you'll bridge the gap between design and engineering, creating beautiful, intuitive interfaces that make complex financial technology accessible to all users. You'll contribute to our mission of simplifying Bitcoin adoption through thoughtful design and technical implementation.

**Role Overview:** In this unique position, you'll collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to craft exceptional user experiences for Fold's financial products. Your expertise will ensure our applications are not only functional but also delightful to use.

**Responsibilities:**
- Translate design mockups into polished, production-ready React Native components
- Develop and maintain a scalable design system consistent with Fold's brand
- Collaborate with designers to implement interactive prototypes and animations
- Ensure cross-platform consistency and performance of UI elements
- Advocate for accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
- Mentor junior engineers and designers on design implementation
- Stay current with design trends and technical capabilities

**Required Skills:**
- 5+ years in design or design engineering roles
- Proficiency in React Native for mobile application development
- Strong TypeScript skills for type-safe implementation
- Experience with modern design systems and component libraries
- Understanding of responsive layouts and cross-device compatibility
- Solid grasp of animation principles and implementation

**Nice-to-Haves:**
- Experience with design system tools like Storybook
- Familiarity with Framer Motion for animations
- Passion for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency applications
- Active Fold user with experience in the product
