Software Engineer, Product (Full Stack)

**About The Role:** We're seeking a full-stack software engineer to build the core user experience for our marketplace and payment systems. You'll design and implement features that hotel buyers and suppliers love, working on both frontend and backend components. This role requires a balance of technical expertise and product-minded thinking to create intuitive, scalable solutions.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and develop the user interface and experience for Folio's marketplace and payment systems
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Build and maintain the full stack of our application using Rails, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Elasticsearch
- Optimize platform performance and scalability to handle growing hotel client base
- Implement security measures for sensitive procurement and payment data
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers
- Gather user feedback to drive product improvements

**Required Skills:**
- Proven experience as a full-stack engineer with 5+ years in the industry
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and backend languages like Ruby or Go
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue.js, or similar)
- Strong database skills with PostgreSQL and data modeling
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) and deployment strategies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to write clean, maintainable code
- User-centric mindset with focus on creating intuitive experiences

**Nice-to-Haves:**
- Experience with AI or machine learning applications
- Familiarity with payment systems and invoice processing
- Background in hospitality or travel industry
- Experience with GraphQL or serverless architectures
- Contributions to open-source projects

**Compensation:** The estimated pay range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000
