Senior / Staff Software Engineer

Company: Gentrace helps companies test, evaluate, and monitor their AI applications. Backed by Matrix Partners, we support customers like Quizlet, Faire, and Webflow in systematizing LLM app development from MVP to production. We are a small, well-funded team looking to grow.

Role: Senior / Staff Software Engineer

Location: Hybrid (Williamsburg, Brooklyn & San Francisco). Office days Mon, Tue, Thu. Option for covered travel between offices.

Responsibilities:
- Develop new generative AI tooling for our customers.
- Interact regularly with customers in shared Slack channels, fixing issues and making improvements directly in response to customer requests.
- Play an active role in determining our roadmap and strategy for new and existing features.

Technical Skills Required:
- Strong experience with TypeScript and React is heavily preferred.
- Experience with modern web technologies.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 4+ years experience working in a full stack capacity.
- Proactive in customer interaction and roadmap contribution.
- We are open-minded to extraordinary candidates, even if they don’t meet all the criteria.
