Role Summary:
We seek an Engineering Manager to lead and grow our small and talented team of 4 full-stack software engineers. You'll have the opportunity to build an insanely great product, influence the growth of our team members, and cultivate an exceptional engineering culture. Own the quality and pace of Goody’s engineering, and ship the best product in our vertical.

Responsibilities:
*   Own the quality and pace of engineering execution.
*   Work with our product and engineering teams to resource and ship an ambitious but realistic roadmap.
*   Ownership of engineering projects, including day-to-day management, running project meetings, and coordinating with stakeholders.
*   Multiply team impact by coaching engineers to improve their performance, ensuring they’re learning and improving their skills.
*   Provide engineers with the right projects, resources, and support to thrive at Goody.
*   Facilitate technical decision-making regarding shipping speed, developer experience, technical debt, and long-term architecture.
*   Tech stack: Ruby on Rails, React, Next.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL.

Who You Are:
*   2+ years of experience in engineering management with excellent results.
*   A people person that can speak to engineers and non-engineers alike, creating a harmonious and efficient working environment.
*   Ability to code when it matters (context or critical fixes), but primary role is enabling others.
*   Possess a growth mindset, ability to take constructive feedback, and thrive in a no-ego culture.
*   Bring positive energy ("Good vibes") and exemplify Goody’s ethos of creating delight.
*   Understand the balance between craft and execution speed in a startup environment.
*   Startup experience is highly valued.
*   E-commerce experience is a plus.
