HelloData is a profitable, fast-growing, and fully bootstrapped PropTech startup (several million in ARR) powering market surveys, pricing intelligence, and comps for thousands of properties across the U.S. We're building the best public data platform for property owners, managers, and developers, helping over 19,000 multifamily professionals save time and make better decisions. Our platform provides automated market analysis, unit-level rent data updated daily, amenity comparisons, and concession tracking, all using publicly sourced data. We're a lean team that does a lot, focused on getting product out the door quickly.

The Role:
Join HelloData as our sixth engineer and play a crucial role in shaping our platform. You will work across the entire stack to design, develop, test, and deploy new features and improvements. This is an opportunity to have a significant impact in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code across the full stack (Node.js, TypeScript, Vue.js, Python, PostgreSQL).
- Develop and manage applications and services deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Collaborate closely with the team to translate product requirements into technical solutions.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and help maintain high engineering standards.
- Ship features frequently and iterate based on user feedback.

Technical Skills Required:
- Proficiency with our core stack: Node.js, TypeScript, Vue.js, Python, PostgreSQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP.
- Strong understanding of web development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and database design.

Ideal Candidate:
- 2+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in startup-like environments.
- Comfortable working across the entire technology stack (frontend, backend, database, infrastructure).
- Eager to build fast, ship often, and learn quickly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Passionate about or interested in real estate, data analysis, or PropTech.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Compensation:
$125,000 annual salary plus health and dental benefits.
