Founding Engineer

Hexa is building the governance backbone for modern enterprises. We’re seeking a founding engineer to help shape our technical vision and build the infrastructure that will power our platform. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of data governance, AI/ML, and enterprise systems, creating solutions that solve real-world problems for businesses across industries.

About the Role: As a founding engineer at Hexa, you’ll play a critical role in establishing our technical foundations. You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing core systems that enable complex data integration, intelligent workflows, and legacy-free operations. This position requires both architectural vision and hands-on implementation skills, as you’ll need to build systems that are both innovative and production-ready.

Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement the foundational architecture for Hexa’s data governance platform • Develop scalable backend systems using TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks • Integrate machine learning models and LLM APIs into workflow automation • Build robust database schemas and optimize data processing pipelines • Create reusable components and libraries that drive consistency across the platform • Collaborate closely with product and design teams to ensure technical solutions align with business goals • Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices for code quality and system reliability

Required Skills: • Proven experience designing and building backend systems • Strong foundation in database architecture and optimization • Experience with TypeScript or similar typed languages • Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment patterns • Experience with AI/ML integration, particularly with LLM APIs and RAG systems • Deep knowledge of software architecture and system design
