HomeVision is a forward-thinking company in the home valuation and appraisal sector, funded by Initialized Capital and committed to transforming the $40 trillion housing market. We are building the next generation of appraisal software using data science and machine learning, and we’re looking for a talented Staff Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to lead and guide the team as we develop new features for our SaaS platform.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience owning large server-side projects with a strongly typed language and a proven ability to lead significant multi-person projects. You’ll be expected to drive high-quality software development while continuously improving your skills and coaching other developers. The role also requires an interest and ability to work across the entire stack, from operations to the user interface.

In this position, you will:

  • Lead and deliver solutions on a modern stack to improve our SaaS application serving the home appraisal industry.
  • Work with technologies including Go, React/Typescript, Python, AWS Lambda, SQS, and PostgreSQL.
  • Practice continuous delivery and maintain rapid review cycles.
  • Help drive continuous improvement by focusing on design, productivity, quality, and observability of our backend systems.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in front-end development and/or machine learning, as well as those with a background in SaaS platforms and DevOps. However, even if you don’t have all the bonus points, if you are passionate about writing good code and eager to learn, we encourage you to apply.

HomeVision offers a supportive environment where you can participate in conceiving and designing new functionality, influence technical solutions, and explore opportunities beyond your current experience. This role requires US Residency and the ability to meet in person in San Francisco a few days per week.

If you’re ready to make an impact in the home appraisal industry, apply now!
