Team: This role is on the Servicing Automation team, the crew behind the technology that powers scalable, cost-efficient customer operations at Imprint. We focus on automating high-impact areas like payment processing, self-service tools, collections, disputes, and program setup. Our mission is to drive margin improvements through automation, collaborating closely with Operations, Product, and Engineering. Success is measured by reliability, efficiency, and key service metrics (delinquency, SLAs).

Role & Responsibilities:
*   Build features directly affecting user experience (card application, payment processing, credit modeling, fraud detection, general ledger).
*   Responsible for architecture design and implementation of banking distributed systems.
*   Guide technical decision-making and choose scalable technical solutions.
*   Work with leadership to craft a diverse, inclusive, and innovative engineering culture.
*   Collaborate closely with product and design teams.
*   Work with technologies like AWS, Go, Python, gRPC, Terraform, Kubernetes, Kafka, NoSQL and SQL databases.

Required Skills & Experience:
*   5+ years of software development experience.
*   5+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language (Java, C++, or Go) including object-oriented design.
*   3+ years contributing to architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, scaling) of new and current systems.
*   1+ years leading system design.
*   Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance, scalability, and availability.
*   Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.

Nice to Have:
*   Experience building payments-related products.
*   Experience building high-scale distributed systems handling large amounts of data.
*   Track record of building and delivering mission-critical, 24x7 production software systems.
*   Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
*   Open-source project experiences.
