Incept AI is looking for an Applied Scientist focused on Deep Learning to contribute to their cutting-edge Voice AI technology.

Company Overview: Incept AI is solving the last mile problem in Voice AI, creating reliable and useful systems with applications in restaurant automation (drive-thru, phone orders). Their team comprises PhDs and experienced engineers building neural audio processing systems and foundation models.

Role Description: You will be part of a team building state-of-the-art neural audio processing systems, audio-processing foundation models, and agentic AI workflows. This role involves research and application of deep learning techniques to solve real-world problems in voice recognition, natural language understanding, audio analysis, and agentic behavior for their Voice AI assistant. Responsibilities include designing experiments, developing novel models, analyzing results, staying abreast of the latest research, and contributing to the core AI technology.

Requirements: A PhD in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Math, Physics) or equivalent deep learning research and practical experience is required. Strong theoretical understanding and practical experience in deep learning, particularly related to audio, speech, or NLP. Proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., Python) and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).

Ideal Candidate: A researcher and engineer passionate about pushing the boundaries of deep learning and applying it to create impactful products. Ability to translate research into practical solutions and work collaboratively in a team environment.

The role is fully remote within the US.
