Role: Senior Backend Engineer
We are seeking a talented Senior Backend Engineer with a passion for building robust, scalable, and high-performance systems. If you love solving complex technical challenges, designing elegant solutions, and making a real-world impact for customers, come join our small but mighty engineering team (less than 10 members).

What You’ll Be Doing:
*   Design and ship new features: Transform product specifications into implementation designs, document them, and lead feature development.
*   Act like an owner: Take initiative and ownership of systems, features, and services.
*   Interact with deployment tools: Help manage our services and infrastructure (deployment patterns, web services, databases, Docker images, cloud storage, CI). We leverage GCP tools like Cloud Run, Cloud Build, Google Postgres SQL, Load Balancers, and Artifact Registry.
*   Put users first: Work with Customer Support to identify and address user-reported service issues during a weekly rotating "Triage" duty.
*   Communicate effectively: Strong written and spoken communication is crucial for our distributed, collaborative team.

Key Qualifications And Experience:
*   5+ years working as a backend engineer.
*   2+ years working on a B2B SaaS platform.
*   Proven ability to design, build, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs.
*   Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis). Proficiency in writing complex queries and optimizing database performance.
*   Expertise in identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks and debugging complex systems.
*   Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and containerization tools like Docker, Kubernetes.
*   Proficient in version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows (CircleCI).
*   Experienced with remote work, preferably able to work during standard North American business hours.
*   Our API services are built on current versions of Python (3.10 and 3.12) and the latest LTS version of Django.

Compensation And Benefits:
*   Expected salary range: $135,000 — $150,000 USD (based on role, level, geography).
