Intuition Machines uses AI/ML to build enterprise security products like hCaptcha, serving hundreds of millions of users daily. We operate with low overhead, small teams, and rapid iteration.

As a Senior Backend Engineer (5+ years), you will work on core production code, including distributed systems and ML paths. You will improve our systems, threat models, and CI/CD practices, writing clean, production-quality code and mentoring team members.

What you will do:
* Design, build and maintain secure, scalable backend services and algorithms.
* Implement DevSecOps practices: security protocols, monitoring, metrics, automated alerts.
* Write clean, well-documented, production-quality code with thorough test coverage.
* Strengthen engineering practices via code reviews, testing automation, on-call support.
* Translate complex requirements into actionable sprint tasks while mentoring team members.

What we are looking for:
* Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in a similar role.
* Expertise in backend development in Python and at least one of: Golang, Rust, C++.
* Experience with Kubernetes, metrics-driven deployment, containerization, microservices.
* Experience implementing and using monitoring and tracing solutions.
* Experience with key-value stores (e.g., Redis) and SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and optimizing performance.
* Experience with high traffic, low latency distributed systems (queue-first arch, sharding, etc.).
* Demonstrated architecture expertise (gather requirements, problem solve, recommend).

Nice to have:
* Willingness to learn: Python, Golang, Redis, PostgreSQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Clickhouse, Kubernetes, Helm, AWS, Azure, JavaScript.
* Familiarity with security frameworks, attack vectors, botnets, OLAP at scale, online/active learning systems.
* Experience or interest in AI/ML and blockchain technologies.
