Work Environment: We operate 100% remotely with a small, ambitious global team. Work happens asynchronously via Slack, GitHub, Linear, and Notion, with minimal meetings. This requires high autonomy, ownership, and resourcefulness. The Role: We are always on the lookout for strong Software or Data Engineers with an internet measurement or analysis background to join our team. You will contribute to building and improving our core data products, infrastructure, and analysis capabilities, helping us maintain our position as a leader in IP intelligence. Potential Responsibilities: - Designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and systems. - Analyzing large-scale datasets related to internet infrastructure, routing (BGP), DNS, Whois, geolocation, and other IP characteristics. - Developing tools, services, and algorithms for data collection, processing, and analysis. - Contributing to various software engineering projects across our technology stack (potentially Go, Python, etc.). - Collaborating with the team to enhance data quality, accuracy, and coverage. Ideal Candidate Profile: - Strong software engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills. - Proven experience or a strong demonstrated interest in internet measurement, network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, DNS), and IP data analysis. - Proficiency in one or more relevant programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, Java, C++). - Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and large-scale data processing tools (e.g., BigQuery, Spark, ClickHouse). - Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and cloud platforms (GCP preferred). - Comfortable working autonomously and communicating effectively in a remote, asynchronous environment. - Eager to learn and tackle complex challenges in the internet data space.
