**Role Overview:**

We’re looking for a talented and ambitious mid level (at least 3-5 years experience) full stack developer to join as our Engineering Lead. You’d work closely with the fractional CTO, the full-time Head of Product, and the rest of the small, dynamic team to evolve Iterum IQ from its current MVP stage to a scalable platform. As an early engineering hire, you will have a significant impact on the product direction and technical architecture.

**Responsibilities:**

*   Lead the development efforts for the Iterum IQ platform.
*   Design, build, and maintain features across the full stack (backend, frontend, infrastructure).
*   Collaborate with Product and other stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
*   Take ownership of the codebase, infrastructure, and deployment processes.
*   Contribute to architectural decisions and technology choices.
*   Mentor and potentially grow the engineering team in the future.
*   Work on pretty much everything required to get the product to scale in a startup environment.

**Technical Skills Required:**

*   Strong proficiency in Python and the Django framework, including Django's SSR capabilities.
*   Solid experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
*   Competence in web frontend development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Bootstrap and HTMX.
*   Experience with cloud infrastructure management (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
*   Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.
*   Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.

**Ideal Candidate:**

*   Has 3-5 years of professional full-stack development experience.
*   Strong backend development skills, particularly with Django.
*   Comfortable working across the entire stack, including frontend and infrastructure.
*   Ambitious, proactive, and enjoys working in a fast-paced startup environment.
*   Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
*   Must be already based in or near London, UK.
*   Passionate about building products that deliver real-world value and have a positive environmental impact.
