Langfuse (YC W23) is building the leading open-source LLM engineering platform (GitHub: https://github.com/langfuse/langfuse/). We provide LLMOps tooling including observability, evaluations, prompt management, and more, helping sophisticated development teams build better AI applications. We are a Y Combinator-backed company (Seed: $4M from Lightspeed, General Catalyst) based in Berlin, working in-person (4-5 days/week). As a Backend Engineer, you will work on our core backend systems, powering the Langfuse infrastructure. You'll tackle challenges in a data-intensive application used by hundreds of companies and thousands of developers, ingesting hundreds of millions of events. Responsibilities include designing, building, and scaling backend services, optimizing data pipelines, and maintaining our robust production setup (infra as code, observability). We seek engineers who appreciate elegant solutions to complex problems and have experience with data-intensive systems. See our v3 release blog post for an example of the type of work involved.
