Full-Stack Engineer (Contract)
Lessunz is an innovative audio-first test prep platform designed for high-intensity learners such as nurses, pre-med students, law students, and others who are balancing work, family, and study. We are building a lean MVP with integrated voice interaction to validate core features rapidly while maintaining code quality and scalability. This role is a contract position for building the backend of our platform, starting in early to mid-July 2025 and ending by mid-September to early October 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transfer the existing front-end website from GoDaddy to a developer-friendly platform (e.g., Vercel or Git-based environment) ensuring visual fidelity and readiness for backend integration.
- Build the backend of the MVP using scalable, modern technologies (Node.js, Python, or other as discussed).
- Integrate the backend with the migrated frontend.
- Collaborate closely with the founder for real-time feedback and fast iteration.
- Optimize for fast load times and maintain clean, maintainable code.
- Implement voice-adaptive learning features that power the platform’s core user experience, ensuring their stability and scalability.
Required Skills and Ideal Candidate:
- Strong experience in backend development (Node.js, Python, or preferred stack).
- Working knowledge of frontend integration (React or comparable).
- Experience with voice-responsive platforms, speech processing, or machine learning for audio integration.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently with clear direction, valuing minimal meetings and asynchronous communication.
- Self-motivation and the ability to thrive in a focused, mission-driven environment.
Compensation: This is a paid contract role with a range of $70,000 – $100,000, milestone-based for the MVP scope. Equity is not offered.
