About The Role: We are seeking a Manager, Enterprise Systems and Applications Programming to lead a team in maintaining and improving our application and database environments. This role involves overseeing the Ellucian Banner ERP Suite, which runs on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and ensuring the systems are current, reliable, and meet the needs of the college community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the integrity of the college’s enterprise information systems and databases.
- Manage programming analysis, design, and development for enterprise systems.
- Coordinate with users and stakeholders to maximize and extend Banner utilization.
- Supervise Application Analyst Project Manager, Applications Analyst Systems Administrator, and Information Support Specialist.
- Ensure compliance with licenses and manage system upgrades and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain project plans and task assignments for the enterprise system.
- Provide technical leadership and maintain quality assurance for software development.
- Collaborate with hardware and software vendors for maintenance and performance.
- Train staff, faculty, and students on the use of enterprise systems.
- Assist in the development and administration of the department budget.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Services or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of experience with relational database technology and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise systems.
- Technical knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.
- Experience with Oracle RDBMS and Banner software.
- Project development and maintenance skills.
- Ability to supervise staff, provide technical training, and lead projects.
- Strong communication and liaison skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Systems programming/management training.
- Oracle DBA certification.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certification.
- Prior staff management experience.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Occasional travel for conferences. Work early/late hours and extended hours to ensure 24/7 system availability. Manage frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Work in a normal office setting and computer machine room.
