**About The Role:** As Research Engineering Lead at Lovable, you will be at the forefront of building the next generation of our AI software engineer. You will lead a team of researchers and engineers in exploring cutting-edge technologies that will shape the future of our product. This role is critical in ensuring that Lovable continues to innovate and maintain our edge in the market.

**Responsibilities:**
- Lead and mentor a team of researchers and engineers in the field of AI and software engineering.
- Define and drive the technical roadmap for our AI capabilities.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to ensure our research aligns with business goals.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and software engineering.
- Build and maintain the research infrastructure that powers our AI features.
- Present findings and technical direction to stakeholders and the engineering team.
- Identify and prototype novel approaches to software creation using AI.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies into our platform.
- Ensure the scalability and reliability of research systems.

**Requirements:**
- Proven experience in leading research and engineering projects, preferably in AI or software engineering.
- Deep expertise in machine learning, natural language processing, or software engineering.
- Strong background in Python, with experience in research frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to balance short-term deliverables with long-term research goals.
- Experience in building scalable AI systems.
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or related field.
