This role is specifically for MailerSend (www.mailersend.com), MailerLite's fast-growing transactional email product built for developers and designed for teams. MailerLite has a remote-first, async-friendly, product-focused culture.

Role: We are looking for a Senior PHP Engineer to join the MailerSend team. This is a backend-heavy full-stack position using PHP (Laravel) and Vue.js. You will work on a high-load system handling millions of emails per hour, focusing on building robust backend services, improving developer experience, and scaling the platform.

Responsibilities:
*   Develop new features and maintain MailerSend to meet evolving product and customer needs.
*   Work on a high-load system, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
*   Optimize and modernize the platform by integrating new technologies while maintaining stability.
*   Collaborate with multiple teams to resolve technical challenges and improve overall system performance.
*   Balance long-term platform improvements with daily operational tasks.
*   Take full responsibility and ownership of your tasks in a culture that avoids micromanagement.
*   Your code will ship fast and often in a small team with high impact.

Requirements:
*   6+ years of experience with PHP, JavaScript, and HTML.
*   Experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework: ReactJS or VueJS.
*   Working knowledge of the Laravel framework.
*   Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
*   Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries.
*   Knowledge of Redis and message queues.
*   Ability to write clean, test-covered code and build scalable applications.
*   Self-starter with an investigative mindset and ability to think outside the box.
*   Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
*   Must be based within the EMEA region.
*   Familiarity with other languages (NodeJS, Golang, Ruby) is a bonus.
