Founding Full-Stack Engineer

Matcha is seeking a founding full-stack engineer to help build and grow our AI-powered job search platform from the ground up. As a founding team member, you will have ownership of your role and the opportunity to significantly impact the product’s direction. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling the full-stack architecture of our application, which handles realtime search through millions of jobs, AI-powered ranking, and cover letter generation. Responsibilities:

• Design and implement the full-stack architecture for our job search platform
• Build scalable and efficient services that can handle large volumes of data and user traffic
• Develop the frontend user interfaces using React.js and Next.js, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience
• Implement backend services in Python, leveraging frameworks such as Flask or Django
• Integrate with third-party APIs and services, including job boards and AI models
• Optimize the platform for performance, reliability, and security
• Collaborate with the product team to define requirements and prioritize features
• Work with data engineers and AI researchers to integrate and refine the AI algorithms that power our job recommendations and cover letter generation

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a full-stack engineer with a strong foundation in software development
• Proficiency in modern web technologies, including React.js, Next.js, and Python
• Experience with backend development, preferably with Node.js, Python, or Go
• Solid understanding of database design and management, including SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
