Deep Learning Engineer

Matroid is a Series B funded startup focused on enabling computers to visually understand the world through innovative computer vision solutions. Our "no programming required" product empowers businesses in manufacturing and video security industries with cutting-edge AI technology.

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $170,000 to $300,000 plus equity, depending on experience and expertise. We are seeking a talented Deep Learning Engineer to join our world-class team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and deploy state-of-the-art deep learning models for computer vision applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Optimize model performance, scalability, and efficiency
- Conduct research on emerging AI techniques and integrate them into our product
- Mentor junior team members and share knowledge

Required Skills:
- Proven experience in deep learning and computer vision
- Expertise in Python, PyTorch, and related frameworks
- Strong understanding of neural network architectures
- Experience with model deployment and productionization
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking

Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in AI/ML development
- Publications or projects in computer vision/AI field are a plus
- Passion for solving complex problems and pushing technological boundaries
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
