Deep Learning Field Engineer

Matroid is a Series B funded startup revolutionizing computer vision with innovative “no programming required” solutions. We serve industries like manufacturing and video security, empowering businesses with cutting-edge AI technology.

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $300,000 plus equity, depending on experience and expertise. We are seeking a talented Deep Learning Field Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy and optimize deep learning models in real-world environments
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and implement tailored solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to computer vision systems
• Gather requirements and work with the development team to enhance product capabilities
• Provide technical guidance and support to both internal teams and clients

Required Skills:

• Solid foundation in deep learning principles
• Experience with Python and relevant AI frameworks
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in field settings
• Strong problem-solving skills with technical aptitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in AI/ML or related technical roles
• Field experience or ability to work in client environments
• Technical certification in AI or machine learning is a plus
• Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering results
