Deep Learning Field Engineer

As a Series B funded startup with customers in manufacturing and video security, we’re expanding our team to solve real-world AI challenges.
Role Overview: The Deep Learning Field Engineer role involves applying advanced computer vision and deep learning techniques to solve domain-specific problems in manufacturing and security. You’ll work closely with our engineering team to deploy and optimize AI solutions in real-world environments, ensuring they meet performance and reliability requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement custom deep learning solutions for specific industrial applications
- Collaborate with field teams and customers to understand requirements and constraints
- Optimize existing models for deployment in challenging real-world conditions
- Develop and maintain documentation for model deployment and maintenance
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production AI systems
- Stay current with advancements in deep learning and apply them to customer challenges
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in deep learning and computer vision applications
- Strong programming skills (Python, C++) with experience in deploying ML models
- Understanding of neural network optimization and quantization techniques
- Experience with model versioning and deployment pipelines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Nice-to-Have:
- Background in manufacturing processes or quality control
- Experience with industrial camera systems and hardware
- Familiarity with MLOps tools and cloud platforms
