Role Overview: The Software Engineer, Infrastructure role involves designing, building, and maintaining the scalable systems that power Matroid’s cloud platform. You’ll work on critical infrastructure components including networking, storage, and deployment pipelines, ensuring our services meet the demands of enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes and AWS
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing
  • Optimize system performance and reliability
  • Implement security best practices across all infrastructure components
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand application requirements
  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in infrastructure engineering
  • Mastery of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Strong knowledge of networking and distributed systems
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash)
  • 4+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Background in machine learning infrastructure
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
