About Matroid: Matroid is a rapidly growing Series B startup transforming visual inspection with cutting-edge computer vision technology. As a product-focused software engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in building the user-facing components of our platform, bridging the gap between our technical infrastructure and customer needs.

Role Overview: The Software Engineer, Product role involves designing and implementing features for Matroid’s SaaS platform, focusing on the user experience while ensuring seamless integration with our backend systems. You’ll work closely with product managers and designers to deliver impactful features that solve real-world inspection challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop React-based user interfaces for our inspection platform
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs connecting frontend to backend services
• Implement data visualization components for inspection results
• Collaborate with UX designers to create intuitive user experiences
• Optimize frontend performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility
• Troubleshoot and resolve frontend issues in production

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in frontend development
• Mastery of React and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Experience with state management solutions (Redux, Context API)
• Strong knowledge of web APIs and RESTful services
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
• 3+ years of experience in frontend development

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with TypeScript
• Familiarity with cloud services and deployment pipelines
• Background in computer vision applications
