Role Overview: The Sr. Deep Learning Engineer role involves mentoring junior engineers while driving innovation in our computer vision platform. You’ll design and implement cutting-edge deep learning solutions, contribute to technical leadership, and help shape Matroid’s AI strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of novel deep learning architectures
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews
• Collaborate with research teams on advancing our AI capabilities
• Define technical direction for computer vision projects
• Optimize model performance and scalability
• Present technical solutions to stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven track record in deep learning research and application
• Extensive experience with neural network design and optimization
• Leadership experience in technical teams
• Strong publication record in AI/ML conferences
• Mastery of deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
• 7+ years of experience in AI research or engineering roles

Nice-to-Have:

• PhD in Computer Science, AI, or related field
• Experience with computer vision in industrial settings
• Background in MLOps and model deployment
