Software Engineer (Backend)

What You’ll Do:

• Ship production code in Clojure or JavaScript/TypeScript across our codebase.
• Address complex backend issues and optimize system performance.
• Make good technical judgments and articulate them clearly.
• Collaborate with frontend teams to implement features that delight users.

Requirements:

• Experience in Clojure or a strong desire to learn.
• Track record of shipping products of significant complexity.
• Solid CS background (acquired through either a CS program or shipping software in a production setting).
• Ability to make good technical judgments and back them up articulately.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with JDBC and database integrations.
• Experience and knowledge of the Java ecosystem and JVM tuning.
• History of open source contributions.
• Experience in JavaScript / TypeScript.

Compensation: The estimated pay range for this role is $160,000 - $220,000.
