Role Overview: As a Staff Software Engineer at Mobian, you’ll be a technical leader driving innovation across our full-stack ecosystem. You’ll own significant portions of our architecture, mentor engineering teams, and champion best practices while delivering high-impact features that advance our mission. This is a senior role requiring both technical depth and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design and implementation of scalable, high-performance systems
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers on technical best practices
  • Define and drive technical strategy for full-stack components
  • Collaborate with product and data science teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Champion software quality, architectural integrity, and performance optimization
  • Make key technical decisions across the stack
  • Present complex technical concepts to stakeholders
  • Stay at the forefront of web technologies and AI/ML applications
  • Optimize system architecture for scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Proven track record of building and scaling complex distributed systems
  • Deep expertise in Python and JavaScript ecosystems
  • Strong understanding of system architecture and design patterns
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React preferred)
  • Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop engineering talent
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures and infrastructure
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to influence technical direction
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience with exceptional achievements
