Role: The Monad Foundation is looking for a Head of Security. You will lead efforts to protect Foundation assets and to improve the security posture of the Monad ecosystem. You will build a world-class security culture and strategy to secure Monad Foundation systems, assets, and employees.

Responsibilities:
* Elevate security awareness across the Monad ecosystem through tooling, initiatives, and feature suggestions.
* Improve threat detection capabilities and incident response playbooks.
* Oversee the work of external audit teams and vendors.
* Conduct internal security assessments, audits, and vulnerability testing.
* Continuously monitor and research breaking vulnerabilities in web3 and web2.
* Advocate internally and externally for security best practices and implement organizational security policies.

Ideal Candidate:
* Expert in the cyber threat landscape (nation-state, criminal, hacktivist, insider threats).
* Deep knowledge of malware evolution, threat indicators, and adversary TTPs.
* Strong knowledge of social engineering, network, application, cloud, and other web2 security attack vectors.
* Obsessed with web3 security and motivated to improve the space.
* Strong opinions about best practices for securing decentralized systems.
* Excellent knowledge of the EVM and how web3 apps are built.
* Excellent knowledge of prior crypto hacks and common vulnerabilities.
* Bias for action, methodical, and rigorous.
* Welcomes ownership and accountability.
