Assembly & Prototyping Technician

Monumental is creating robots that autonomously construct buildings, starting with autonomous bricklaying robots in Amsterdam. They design hardware/software in-house and have deployed robots earning revenue. Funded with $25M, the team of 50+ is growing fast. Their mission is software-defined, autonomous construction.

We are seeking a hands-on Assembly & Prototyping Technician to build, test, and iterate on our robotic systems. You will play a crucial role in bringing our hardware designs to life and ensuring the quality and reliability of our robots.

Responsibilities:
- Assemble complex electro-mechanical systems based on engineering drawings and instructions.
- Build prototypes and test fixtures for new hardware designs.
- Perform testing and quality control checks on assembled components and robots.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
- Maintain workshop equipment and inventory.
- Provide feedback to engineers to improve design for manufacturability and assembly.

Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in assembling and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical systems (robotics experience is a plus).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Experience with workshop tools and basic fabrication techniques.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
