My Data Value is an AI‑driven hospitality tech platform that helps vacation rental owners automate revenue on Booking.com. The company has validated product‑market fit, £100 k ARR, and is backed by angel investors.

The Role

This is a backend‑first full‑stack role (approximately 70 % backend, 30 % frontend). You will spend most of your time building features with Python and Django, while also contributing to the frontend using React and Tailwind when needed. Key responsibilities include:

• Building and shipping features using Python (Django) and PostgreSQL.
• Managing enterprise‑scale scraping of thousands of requests per second and reverse‑engineering public data sources.
• Maintaining and expanding the Chrome extension that connects the platform with customer accounts.
• Leveraging AI tools such as ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot to accelerate boilerplate code and focus on complex logic.
• Contributing to the lightweight frontend (React/Tailwind) for UI tweaks and new features.

The Logistics

• Location: Fully remote (candidates must be based in the United Kingdom).
• Employment type: Full‑time.
• Salary: £70 k – £90 k (depending on experience).
• Equity: Up to 2 % options (4‑year vesting).
• The team consists of two founders located in Leeds and London; occasional in‑person meet‑ups may be required.

Who You Are

• A builder with startup experience (founder or early‑employee) who enjoys solving problems.
• Deep expertise in Python and strong experience with Django.
• Proficient in web‑scraping, proxy management, and browser automation using Playwright.
• Pragmatic, knowing when to build for scale and when to implement quick fixes.
• Highly autonomous, comfortable taking a feature from idea to production without micromanagement.

Interview Process

• 30‑minute non‑technical call with the founder.
• 1‑hour technical pair‑programming challenge focused on real‑life problems.
