About The Role: As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at N26, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our core banking infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining systems that keep our services running smoothly for millions of users across Europe. This is a unique opportunity to work on critical systems that impact millions of customers daily.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, build, and maintain highly available and scalable systems for N26’s core banking platform.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation systems to ensure service reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system resilience and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, minimizing downtime and improving system stability.
• Develop and enforce operational best practices and standards.
• Work closely with product and development teams to ensure systems meet business requirements.
• Continuously optimize infrastructure costs while maintaining high availability.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in system administration, infrastructure engineering, or SRE practices.
• Deep understanding of Linux/Unix systems, networking, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) and automation experience.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience with financial systems or fintech infrastructure is a plus.

Compensation: The estimated pay range for this role is €85,000 - €120,000 per year, depending on experience. This role is eligible for equity participation in N26.
