Backend Engineer (Product-Focused)

Our platform combines cutting-edge AI with user-friendly interfaces to help radiologists work faster and focus on patient care.

About The Role: We’re looking for a backend engineer with a strong product mindset to help build and scale our AI platform. You’ll work closely with product managers, AI researchers, and front-end engineers to implement features that solve real-world problems for radiologists. This role requires deep technical skills and an understanding of how our backend services integrate with our AI models and user interface.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for our AI radiology platform
• Collaborate with product and design teams to implement new features and improvements
• Optimize database performance and API endpoints for scalability and reliability
• Integrate machine learning models into production systems
• Work with front-end teams to ensure seamless user experiences
• Contribute to our cloud infrastructure and deployment processes
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly

What You’ll Bring:

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with Python or Java
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development
• Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and optimization
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of containerization and microservices architectures
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Compensation: The estimated pay range for this role is $130,000 - $180,000, plus equity in a fast-growing healthcare AI company.
