Our team combines AI, legal expertise, and engineering to tackle regulatory sludge and societal-AI alignment through innovative technology.\n\n**About The Role:**\n\nAs an Applied AI Research Engineer at Norm.ai, you will bridge the gap between theoretical AI research and practical applications. You will work on developing and implementing AI models that understand and interpret complex regulatory language, enabling automated compliance determinations and regulatory intelligence.\n\n**Key Responsibilities:**\n\n*   Design and implement machine learning models for regulatory text analysis\n*   Research and apply natural language processing techniques to legal and regulatory text\n*   Collaborate with domain experts (legal professionals) to understand regulatory requirements\n*   Develop and evaluate AI models for compliance determination tasks\n*   Optimize AI models for accuracy, speed, and scalability\n*   Document research findings and technical implementations\n*   Stay current with advancements in AI and NLP\n*   Mentor junior researchers and engineers\n\n**Required Skills and Qualifications:**\n\n*   3+ years of experience in AI/ML research or application\n*   Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages\n*   Deep understanding of NLP and machine learning concepts\n*   Experience with transformer models and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)\n*   Familiarity with regulatory text analysis and compliance domains\n*   Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills\n*   BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with a focus on AI/ML\n*   Publications or significant contributions to AI/NLP research\n\n**Compensation:**\n\nThe estimated pay range for this role is $200,000 - $250,000.
