Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Pex is part of the Vobile Group, a leader in automated content recognition technology serving clients from major internet platforms to independent creators. We seek a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our Gainesville, FL headquarters. In this role, you’ll design, build, and maintain systems that ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our content recognition platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement scalable infrastructure solutions for high-availability services
• Develop automated monitoring and alerting systems to detect and resolve issues proactively
• Optimize system performance through infrastructure improvements and code efficiencies
• Implement robust backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance system reliability and maintainability
• Lead the adoption of best practices in site reliability engineering and operational excellence
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root cause analysis
• Mentor junior engineers in operational best practices

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in designing and maintaining distributed systems
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python/Bash)
• Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Strong knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus/Grafana)
• Expertise in networking, load balancing, and system optimization
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or SRE roles
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Demonstrated track record of improving system reliability and performance
• Experience with high-throughput systems and global deployment architectures
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on proactive system maintenance
• Excellent communication abilities to collaborate across engineering teams
