Role Description:
As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will work closely with our VP of Sales and Founder & CEO on strategic Enterprise deals. You'll play a key role in developing the playbook for integrating pganalyze in complex customer environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, on-premise), primarily focusing on our pganalyze Enterprise Server product. You will enjoy this role if you care about solving customer problems end-to-end based on a comprehensive understanding of their infrastructure and the role of Postgres databases within it.

Responsibilities:
*   Help onboard customers by resolving technical integration issues.
*   Work on closing strategic Enterprise deals by quickly identifying integration challenges and partnering with customers to resolve them.
*   Develop an understanding of common customer needs and effectively communicate how pganalyze addresses them.
*   Write automation code and scripts to aid customer implementations.
*   Improve integration with deployment methods like Kubernetes (e.g., contributing to Helm charts).
*   Enhance product documentation to empower users.
*   Participate in the customer support rotation and help improve support processes.
*   Gather customer feedback to inform new product development.
*   Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and design teams.

Required Skills & Experience:
*   5+ years as a solutions/sales engineer OR 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong interest in a customer-centric role.
*   Strong background working with Linux VMs (cloud or on-premise) and Kubernetes/containers.
*   3+ years working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
*   3+ years coding in Rust, Go, or Ruby, particularly interacting with cloud provider APIs.
*   Proven experience working closely with customers and strong technical communication skills.
*   Experience using PostgreSQL, including familiarity with EXPLAIN and index creation for performance tuning.
*   Ability to structure work effectively and manage your own schedule for productivity.

Desired Skills (Nice-to-have):
*   Go language experience (our agent is written in Go).
*   Experience presenting complex technical topics externally.
*   Experience with APM and tracing tools.
*   Experience writing Postgres extensions or contributing to the Postgres project.
*   Experience developing technical demos or hosting webinars.
