Senior DevOps Engineer

About Picnic: Picnic is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead cloud infrastructure initiatives and drive operational excellence. You’ll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable systems that power Europe’’s most advanced grocery delivery platform. Key Responsibilities:

• Drive adoption of DevOps practices across development and operations teams
• Architect and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using best practices for availability, scalability, and security
• Build self-service platforms for infrastructure provisioning and management
• Coordinate system operations to ensure high availability and performance
• Implement security measures and compliance controls
• Lead deployments and coordinate with development teams
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership

Required Skills & Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’’s or Master’’s in Computer Science or related field
• At least 6 years of infrastructure or software engineering experience
• Deep expertise in designing cloud architectures (AWS preferred)
• Proficient in Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Extensive experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Spacelift)
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
• Solid understanding of security, availability, and scalability principles
• Proven ability to balance short-term priorities with long-term strategic goals
