PlantingSpace is developing a novel AI system for analysts and scientists using a unique approach to reasoning and knowledge representation, going beyond standard LLMs by combining symbolic algorithms. Our system aims to understand natural language queries and provide verifiable answers with uncertainty quantification.

We are looking for Senior NLP Engineers to help our system understand and respond to queries in natural and domain-specific languages. You will work on tasks like training models for translation between languages, assessing model quality, enriching datasets, fine-tuning open-source LLMs (e.g., for code generation), handling typos and ambiguity, developing query classification systems, and integrating NLP components with our symbolic reasoning core. This may involve integrating pre-trained transformer models with symbolic reasoning.

This role involves contributing to cutting-edge research and development, working with large datasets (collecting, processing, storing), and potentially using tools like Weights&Biases for experiment tracking and error analysis. Experience with modern NLP techniques, LLMs, and Python/Julia is essential. Join our remote-first (EU time zone) team with quarterly meetups, working on the future of AI.
