Company: Prior Labs is building foundation models for structured/tabular data – AI's biggest blind spot. Our approach, TabPFN, uses transformers pre-trained on synthetic data for state-of-the-art results on small datasets zero-shot. Backed by €9M pre-seed.

Role: We are seeking a Founding Data Scientist to join our team in Berlin or Freiburg (on-site).

Responsibilities: Optimize & scale our Transformer-based Foundation Models (TFMs) like TabPFN. Improve model performance, explore new training techniques, analyze model behavior on diverse datasets, and collaborate with engineers to deploy models.

Ideal Candidate: Strong background in machine learning, deep learning (especially transformers), statistics, and data analysis. Experience with tabular data and Python (PyTorch/TensorFlow) is crucial. Excited to transform data science, finance, healthcare, and science using AI.
