Company: Privy is an identity and fintech infrastructure startup building a wallet and digital asset API for companies using blockchain and distributed systems, backed by $40M from Ribbit & Sequoia. We power digital ownership for millions of users (>5M MAU) with a focus on privacy and user control through modern cryptography. We're a small, high-ownership team shipping multiple times weekly.

Role: As a Senior or Staff Platform Engineer at Privy, you will focus on building the core foundational services, tools, and abstractions that enable other engineering teams to build and ship product features faster and more reliably. You'll work on systems that underpin our entire product suite, tackling challenges in areas like developer experience, shared services, and core primitives.

Responsibilities:
*   Design, build, and maintain core platform services and libraries used across Privy engineering.
*   Develop tooling and automation to improve developer productivity and velocity.
*   Build foundational infrastructure components related to identity, authentication, or core cryptographic operations.
*   Work on systems that bridge different parts of our stack (e.g., backend services, infrastructure, client SDKs).
*   Ensure the scalability, reliability, and maintainability of platform components.
*   Collaborate with product engineers to understand their needs and provide effective platform solutions.
*   Define and evangelize platform standards and best practices (Staff level).

Ideal Candidate:
*   Strong software engineering background with experience building platform-level services or tools.
*   Experience with backend development (Go, Rust, Node.js) and distributed systems.
*   Familiarity with API design, SDK development, and creating developer-facing tools.
*   Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) and infrastructure-as-code is a plus.
*   Ability to think abstractly and build reusable, well-documented components.
*   Passion for improving developer experience and engineering efficiency.
*   Based in NYC or willing to work remotely.
