Role Overview: We’re seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our engineering team and help build Proof’s next-generation products. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining features for our fraud detection, identity verification, and transaction management systems. You’ll work closely with product managers and other engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that enhance our platform’s security and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement complex features for Proof’s fraud detection and identity verification services
• Write high-complexity code autonomously using Ruby on Rails, React, and GraphQL
• Drive project scoping and effectively manage ambiguous requirements in a fast-paced startup environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production systems
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices through code reviews and knowledge sharing
• Optimize application performance and scalability across our AWS infrastructure
• Develop and maintain technical documentation ensuring clarity and accessibility

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience building enterprise applications with Ruby on Rails and React
• Proven ability to write clean, maintainable code with strong testing practices
• Experience with GraphQL and REST APIs for building scalable services
• Solid understanding of AWS infrastructure and deployment pipelines
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to own end-to-end solutions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a bias toward action
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and evolving requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with TypeScript and GraphQL
• Background in security or fraud prevention systems
• Familiarity with PKI and identity verification systems
• Experience with continuous deployment and monitoring tools
