Networking Protocols Go Rust Distributed Systems Security Back End Engineer

Puma.tech is seeking a Network/Protocol Engineer to join our technical infrastructure team. We are building a next-generation network with innovative protocols and built-in LLMs, focusing on privacy and scalability. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the protocols that power our browser and network products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network protocols for our products
  • Optimize network performance and reliability
  • Ensure security and privacy in protocol design
  • Collaborate with distributed systems engineers
  • Research and implement new networking technologies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues

Required Skills:

  • Deep understanding of network protocols and distributed systems
  • Experience with protocol development (e.g., gRPC, WebRTC)
  • Strong programming skills in Go, Rust, or similar
  • Familiarity with security best practices
  • Knowledge of blockchain or decentralized systems (a plus)
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
