As a vendor of a critical core infrastructure component, we do systems programming, ie. we write code that interacts directly with the OS and hardware, and build fault-tolerant distributed systems and algorithms. We use C++, Java, and Python. If you have a passion for that, this is the place for you! Examples of technologies that you may work on and assume ownership on over time:
