Infra Engineer - Datacenters

About Railway: Railway is building custom data centers around the globe to deliver better-than-best-in-class experience to all of our users. This role bridges the universe of atoms (data centers) to the universe of bits (cloud infrastructure).

About The Role: As an Infra Engineer - Datacenters, you will design, build, and operate data centers from the ground up. You’ll leverage OS primitives and build application-level code to ensure performance, resilience, and reliability.

Responsibilities include:

• Building application-level code in Go, GRPC, and Postgres.
• Making use of OS primitives like syscalls and cgroups.
• Designing and procuring hardware for data centers.
• Constructing monitoring, alerts, and dashboards to notify before things break.

What You’ll Bring:

• Experience building application-level code in Go or other languages.
• Deep understanding of OS primitives and system-level programming.
• Ability to deliver projects from 0 to N, scaling them over time.
• Experience with oncall responsibilities.

Compensation: The estimated pay range for this role is $160,000 - $230,000, with equity options.
