Sr Fullstack Engineer

Company: Rec Technologies is building modern software for parks & recreation, aiming to replace clunky city rec websites with user-friendly solutions for booking facilities, signing up for programs, and managing recreation departments. Our mission is to build technology to power the future of recreation.

Role: We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our team and contribute to building and scaling our platform. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying features across our entire stack (React + Node/TypeScript).

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Build and enhance user-facing features using React.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our engineering practices.
- Help architect and scale our systems for future growth.

Requirements:
- Significant professional experience in fullstack development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and ORMs.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
